TCG (Trading Card Games)
At Capricon 2025, the excitement continues into the world of our Trading Card Game (TCG) Zone. This zone will be hosted by various members of the community, where you'll have the chance to dive into the worlds of Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Gundam, One Piece, Grand Archive, Riftbound. Whether you're a seasoned duellist or a curious newcomer, our TCG Zone is the perfect spot to experience these iconic games.
Located in the Millennium Gaming Space (McCamley Pavilion), the TCG Zone will feature learn-to-play sessions where friendly volunteers will guide you through the basics of Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Gundam, One Piece, Grand Archive, Riftbound. These sessions are designed for all skill levels, making it easy to jump into the action even if you're completely new to the games.
For those looking for a more casual experience, there will also be open tables available for casual play. Grab some friends or make new ones as you explore the strategic depth and fast-paced excitement that our TCG Zone has to offer.
There will be organised learn to play sessions from 10am to 1pm, with outside of these hours the tables will be available for casual games.
TCG ZONE GROUND RULES
- Please treat the cards with respect.
- Please keep them in the pavilion.
- Treat the person showing you how to play with respect.
- Please keep food and drink away from gaming tables.
WHAT IS PROVIDED?
There will be organised learn to play sessions from 10am to 2pm, with outside of these hours the tables will be available for casual games.
Everything you need for learn to play will be provided to you by members of the community. You’ll find:
- Community leads with a 'learn to play' deck and their knowledge of the game.
- A friendly and open venue for TCG gaming.
- Friendly members of the TCG Rockhampton scene for casual games.

Where is TCG at capricon?
TCG and Tabletop Gaming is located in the Millennium Gaming Space (McCamley Pavilion) opposite the Robert Schwarten Pavilion.
