The kids are going to be spoilt for choice at CapriCon Pop Culture Convention thanks to the wide range of free activities and workshops on offer.

Celebrating its 5th anniversary on Saturday 27 August young families will be able to spend the day enjoying a range of craft sessions, petting zoo, messy play, cartooning, LEGO® and light saber workshops.

Communities and Heritage Councillor Drew Wickerson is keen to see our local community come out for a day of playfulness and pop culture especially for kids five years and under.

“Kids five years and under are not only free entry to CapriCon but they can enjoy a range of free activities including LEGO® Parties from Gaming 4 Success, messy play, craft stations and superhero obstacle courses from Maggie Moo Music and a superhero petting zoo from Eden Bann Cuties,” Councillor Wickerson said.

“Registrations are also open for the Sons of Obiwan Saber Academy (10 years+), Toonworld cartooning, Manga drawing and model making sessions (5 years+) plus don’t forget we also have our LEGO® competition registrations open for all ages.”

Advance Rockhampton Executive Manager Greg Bowden said that CapriCon’s program this year has something for all age groups and all interests.

“We a proud to be able to put together a program that is not only extremely affordable but also accessible and supporting local businesses like Eden Bann Cuties, Maggie Moo and Gaming 4 Success to deliver great activities for our community,” Mr Bowden said.

CapriCon is proudly brought to you by Rockhampton Regional Council, presented by Advance Rockhampton and supported by major event partners Stockland Rockhampton, Virtual World, Stanwell Power Station, Funzone Entertainment & Laser Tag Centre, Queensland Country Bank, Eden Bann Cuties, Hit FM CQ, Channel 7 and CQ Today.
