Cosplay is creative, empowering, and a huge source of joy, but it can also feel all encompassing and sometimes, overwhelming. With more than 10 years of cosplay under his belt, join Memoirs of a Bearded Cosplayer and The Bearded Night Wing and Co for a session exploring a range of mental health challenges that cosplayers face. Discuss burnout, anxiety, body image and con pressures, in an open and supportive panel. Share stories, self care advice and tools for staying balanced, because behind every costume is a human being, whose wellbeing matters.

About Memoirs of a Bearded Cosplayer

Memoirsofabeardedcosplayer, is a seasoned cosplayer with a 9-year tenure in the community. Renowned for his distinctive bearded crossplay and genderbend cosplays, his portfolio includes iconic characters such as Scarlet Witch, Wicked Witch, Sailor Mars, Officer Jenny, and Card Captors Sakura.

To him, cosplay transcends mere costume play; it serves as a profound form of self-expression. Through his exploration of genderbending and crossplay, he discovered the transformative power of embodying characters who embody qualities he admired or sought within himself.

He is deeply committed to fostering inclusivity and diversity within the cosplay sphere. He advocates for a safe and supportive environment where individuals of all genders, sexualities, and ages feel welcome and embraced.
