Greg Chapman

Greg Chapman is a horror author, editor and artist based in Brisbane. Originally from Rockhampton, Greg’s fiction and art has received wide acclaim from readers and critics of the horror genre since his first publication in 2011.

In 2024, his collection Midnight Masquerade, published by IFWG Publishing International, won an Australasian Shadows Award and he is also a Bram Stoker Award finalist, with his debut novel Hollow House, published by Omnium Gatherum Media, making the shortlist in 2016.

His most recent short story collection, Black Days and Bloody Nights is also a finalist in this year’s Australasian Shadows Awards.

He’s currently co-editing the Halloween anthology Samhain Screams, due for release by Black Beacon Books in October.

His artistic endeavours include designing book covers and creating illustrations for various publishers and authors in Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. He was recently named as a finalist in the Best Artist category of the British Fantasy Awards. The first graphic novel he illustrated, Witch Hunts: A Graphic History of the Burning Times, written by Rocky Wood and Lisa Morton and published by McFarland and Company, won the Superior Achievement in a Graphic Novel category at the Bram Stoker Awards in 2013. Greg was also the President of the Australasian Horror Writers Association from 2017-2020.

In addition to participating in a panel, Greg will be selling copies of his books and art prints at CapriCon.

Greg will have a booth in the James Lawrence Pavilion and will also do a panel interview on the Maker Stage in the James Lawrence with Phil Hore.
