Morrigan Moore
Morrigan is a one woman workshop. Gaining her bachelor's degree in Creative Industries 2008, she began writing and drawing comics. Writers thought she was too artsy and artists found her obtrusively verbose. This led to her pursuing every creative discipline she could get her hands on. So now, she builds worlds in the theatre, table top games, and books with pictures. To her, this feels as though she hasn’t missed a beat, as everything we create is art and all art tells a story. She currently resides in Brisbane, where she is undergoing her Masters in Writing, Editing and Publishing at the University of Queensland.
Morrigan will be screening Art in Miniature at CapriCon and providing a Q&A afterwards. Art in Miniature is a 2023 feature length documentary from directors Andy Poulastides and Rachelle Strange. It asks the question, "Is miniature painting art?" Spoiler: yes, and it's amazing. Hosted by Loise Sugden (Rogue Hobbies), and featuring interviews with industry veterans such as Gav Thorpe and Bob Naismith. Runtime 48 minutes.
Where can I find Morrigan Moore at CapriCon?
Morrigan will have a booth in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion and will be hosting an exclusive screening of Art in Miniature at CapriCon in the pop-up cinema. Stick around for a Q&A afterwards.
