Volunteering for CapriCon makes you a part of the convention, a part of the CapriCon Events Crew and its heaps of fun! While you’re rostered on you are the friendly face of the event, and in your down-time you get to have all the great experiences a normal attendee would!

Personal attributes we look for:

  • A polite and outgoing attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Great organisational skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Confidence in speaking to groups
  • Ability to retain information and good sense of direction
  • Ability to undertake responsibilities unsupervised when required
  • Prior volunteer experience highly regarded

ROLE DESCRIPTIONS

EVENT SET-UP TEAM | Good manual handling skills for movement of stock, chairs, tables and set up of event equipment as required in the CapriCon spaces. You must be available the week before the event and have the ability to:

  • Follow instructions
  • Maintain a high standard of workplace safety
  • Complete tasks on time

GUEST SERVICES | Guest Services are responsible for welcoming event patrons and providing directional assistance as well as monitoring queues and even helping with workshops. These volunteers are instrumental to the overall guest experience and are available in multiple locations across the event. 

TICKETING SERVICES | The ticketing team are responsible for all patrons entering the event precinct. This is the ideal role for those who love to interact with lots of people and enjoy being part of a team environment. Onsite training will be provided.

SITE CREW | Our Site Crew plays an integral role working closely with the CapriCon Management Team to do jobs throughout the event hours in a time efficient manner.

  4. Meals and drinks will be provided for those working a full day shift. Snacks will be provided to those doing a half day.
