Join us for CapriCon – Central Queensland’s largest single-day pop culture convention! The event showcases an incredible spectrum of pop culture including comics, collectibles, cosplay, anime, medieval, gaming, art, steampunk and more. We’re currently rounding up volunteers to help bring this exciting event to life. If you’re passionate about pop culture and keen to be part of something amazing, we’d love to have you on board!

Roles Available
EVENT SET-UP TEAM | Good manual handling skills for movement of stock, chairs, tables and set up of event equipment as required in the CapriCon spaces. You must be available the week before the event.
GUEST SERVICES | Guest Services are responsible for welcoming event patrons and providing directional assistance as well as monitoring queues and even helping with workshops. These volunteers are instrumental to the overall guest experience and are available in multiple locations across the event.
TICKETING SERVICES | The ticketing team are responsible for all patrons entering the event precinct. This is the ideal role for those who love to interact with lots of people and enjoy being part of a team environment. Onsite training will be provided.
PROGRAMMING ASSISTANT | Our programming assistants please an integral role working closely with the CapriCon Management Team to assist with jobs with specific aspects of CapriCon programming including stage management, kids zone & dodgebow.

- Ability to retain information and good sense of direction
- Ability to undertake responsibilities unsupervised when required
- Prior volunteer experience highly regarded
